This family estate coffee is graded "Extra Fancy" and comes in 3 different roasts:
Dark roast is a rich, robust, full-bodied roast with elements of dark chocolate. It´s one step lighter an espresso roast. Beans are roasted at 450 oF (232 oC) for approximately 18 to 21 minutes, resulting in a dark chocolate-brown shell with a distinct sheen of oil.
Medium-Dark (Full-City) roast is a step darker than a true medium. Beans are roasted at 420 oF (215 oC) for approximately 18 minutes, resulting in a dark-brown colored shell with a faint sheen of oil. This is a rich roast with chocolate and cinnamon flavors that also retains some of the floral elements of a lighter roast. Full-City roasting gives coffee a robust, hearty flavor that embraces cream and sugar, but still tastes subtle, carmelly, and amazing when drunk black.
Light-Medium roast is a step darker than a true light roast. Beans are roasted at 395 oF (201 oC) for approximately 18 minutes, resulting in a cinnamon-brown colored shell. This is a delicious roast with light floral notes and elements of chocolate and caramel. This is a perfect morning "pick me up" roast!
Extra Fancy grade beans are very large beans with very little to no surface blemishes.
